AvTabs was founded in 2020 by a flight instructor who was tired of watching students lose study time hunting through FAA manuals instead of learning to fly.
Where it started
The problem was always the same. Students spent as much time searching pages as they did studying the concepts on them. So we started tabbing the handbooks by hand, marking the topics and regulations that actually come up on the written, the oral, and the checkride.
What began as a fix for one instructor's students has grown into a trusted resource for pilots across the United States preparing for exams and checkrides.
